Uche Sparks Dominant Palace Victory at Shelbourne.

Even though entering their first-ever European campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are learning very quickly. Without star players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a commanding win that all but secures them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.

A further three points in their upcoming match against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to secure straight passage to the knockout stages, particularly after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.

Squad Members Seize the Moment

This match provided a platform for several Palace's fringe talent to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a well-taken goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second game in match.

The Shelbourne side that had concluded their domestic season were outmatched even for a mostly rotated Palace outfit. The Londoners were already depleted by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are out with knee problems.

Dominance Asserted from the Start

In spite of heavy rain in Dublin, Palace quickly took control. A slick move in the 11th minute, sparked by Daichi Kamada's clever pass, let Nketiah to lay on Uche for a straightforward finish.

The contest was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of comically weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.

After the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.

The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for improvement in his game.

A solitary concern for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his senior debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
